Mika’l
Hi! I’m Mika’l! (pronounced “Mi-kell”, rhymes with Michelle) I’m the founder and lead planner at Posey Event Design and I am so glad you’re here!
I was born and raised in the Lowcountry. After going to college in Columbia I decided I wanted to raise my babies near the water. So for the past 20 years I’ve lived in and raised my five children in this beautiful area surrounded by marshes, rivers and beaches. It’s truly glorious. Throughout my career of being a stay-at-home-mom, I also taught pre-school and was on the board of a local Women’s Center for 10 years. I began helping plan their fundraisers and events. I’ve always been drawn to all things pretty and creating beautiful tablescapes. It was only natural for me to want to start planning weddings! It has all of the elements of details, design and organization that I love. But most importantly I love connecting with my brides and their families and helping them create their most special day. It truly is one of my life’s greatest joys.
When I’m not working on the next wedding, you may find me playing soccer in the backyard with one or two of my four boys, walking the streets of downtown Savannah looking for a new favorite spot to catch a bite to eat, or at the beach enjoying these beautiful South Carolina and Georgia coasts I get to live close to. I’m truly blessed and so thankful.

Morgan
Hi! I’m Morgan, a Lead Planner at Posey Event Design.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I relocated to the coast of Georgia to further grow my career in the wedding industry. My journey began at Sea Island Resort, where I worked as a wedding coordinator, before moving to Savannah to serve as a Lead Wedding Planner with Ivory & Beau. Those experiences helped shape my approach to wedding planning and ultimately led me to Posey Event Design, where I now work alongside Mika”l to serve our couples with intention, creativity, and care.
I’m passionate about bringing each client’s vision to life while ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed from start to finish. I was drawn to Posey because of its close-knit culture, elevated design approach, and commitment to creating meaningful, beautifully executed celebrations—values that deeply align with my own.
When I’m not planning weddings, you can usually find me walking my dog, Mandi, playing volleyball at Forsyth Park, getting lost in a fantasy series, or interviewing guests for my podcast, Marriage Material (available on Spotify!).
