Posey Event Design
Posey Event Design was founded on the belief that the most memorable celebrations are not defined by trends, but by the people at the heart of them. Even our name reflects that philosophy — posey speaks to the art of composing something beautiful, one element at a time.
Led by founder and lead planner Mika’l alongside lead planner Morgan, our team brings creativity, experience, and a calm, capable presence to every celebration. We believe exceptional planning is as much about relationships as it is logistics — listening well, anticipating needs, collaborating with talented professionals, and knowing when to quietly take care of something before you ever have to ask.
Our approach is personal and highly collaborative. We get to know our couples, understand what matters most to them, and become trusted partners throughout the planning process. Behind the scenes, we are managing the moving pieces, advocating for your vision, and creating an environment where you can actually enjoy the experience of getting married.
Based in Savannah and serving the Lowcountry and beyond, Posey Event Design is proud to create celebrations that bring people together beautifully — and to be the team our couples can trust to get them there.
MEET
Mika’l
Hi, I’m Mika’l (pronounced “Mi-kell,” rhymes with Michelle), founder and lead planner of Posey Event Design. I’m a Lowcountry native and have called this corner of the South home for most of my life. There’s something about the beauty, history, and hospitality of this region that continues to inspire the way I approach celebrations here.
Wedding planning wasn’t always the plan. But looking back, it makes perfect sense. I’ve always loved bringing people together, creating beautiful spaces, and figuring out how all the little pieces fit together. What began with planning events and fundraisers for a local Women’s Center eventually grew into Posey Event Design.
Today, what I love most about this work goes far beyond creating a beautiful wedding. I love getting to know my couples and their families, understanding what matters to them, and turning a collection of ideas into a celebration they can simply be present for and enjoy.
When I’m not working on a wedding, you’ll usually find me exploring Savannah, planning my next trip, spending time near the water, or with my kids. I’m endlessly inspired by beautiful places, good food, thoughtful details, and the kind of experiences you remember long after they’re over.

Morgan
Hi! I’m Morgan, a Lead Planner at Posey Event Design.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I relocated to the coast of Georgia to further grow my career in the wedding industry. My journey began at Sea Island Resort, where I worked as a wedding coordinator, before moving to Savannah to serve as a Lead Wedding Planner with Ivory & Beau. Those experiences helped shape my approach to wedding planning and ultimately led me to Posey Event Design, where I now work alongside Mika’l to serve our couples with intention, creativity, and care.
I’m passionate about bringing each client’s vision to life while ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed from start to finish. I was drawn to Posey because of its close-knit culture, elevated design approach, and commitment to creating meaningful, beautifully executed celebrations—values that deeply align with my own.
When I’m not planning weddings, you can usually find me walking my dog, Mandi, playing volleyball at Forsyth Park, getting lost in a fantasy series, or interviewing guests for my podcast, Marriage Material (available on Spotify!).
