Mika’l (rhymes with Michelle) is the founder and lead planner of Posey Event Design. A Lowcountry native, she returned to the coast after college in Columbia to raise her five children amid the marshes, rivers, and beaches she loves.

Alongside years as a stay-at-home mom, she taught preschool and served on the board of a local non-profit for a decade, where she helped plan fundraisers and events. These skills along with her love for beauty, design, and thoughtful details naturally led her to wedding planning. Today, she’s known for building genuine connections with brides and their families and for creating meaningful, memorable celebrations—work she considers one of her greatest joys.

When she’s not planning weddings, Mika’l can be found kicking the soccer balls with her boys, strolling through downtown Savannah in search of a new favorite bite, or enjoying the beaches of the coastal areas she feels so fortunate to call home.
